A new, unprecedented project: all of Bach’s concerts for one, two, three and four harpsichords and orchestra collected in a series of four evenings.
The harpsichord itself is an uncommon instrument. But bringing together four harpsichords along with harpsichord players makes this project entirely unique.
The first performance that is to happen on September 29th at the Music lounge of the Shuvalov House (Povarskaya, 30) will present concerts for one and two harpsichords and orchestra performed by Alexander Maykapar, Vera Nosina, professor of Russian Music Academy and Cantus Firmus chamber orchestra conducted by Alexander Khurgin.

Joseph Hydne’s sonatas entitled "Seven Last Words of Jesus Christ" are called solemn and tragic. For Moscow music lovers they sounded at the Bulgarian Cultural and Informational Centre. Alexander Khurgin was inspiringly conducting the Cantus firmus orchestra. Alexander Razin, an actor of the Chamber Russo-Bulgarian Theatre at Bulgarian Centre, recited the text.

Cantus Firmus chamber orchestra is opening it’s fifteenth season at the Bulgarian Cultural Institute. In it’s years active the orchestra participated in many cultural projects of Russian-Bulgarian collaboration. Those including concerts for Bulgarian national holidays, in honor of the visit of the president and prime-minister, concert of Bulgarian music classic Michail Goleminov (when he came to Russia in 1992).
When the orchestra perform the works of Bulgarian composers they reveal to the audience a brilliant and distinctive page in musical history that was somewhat forgotten in Russia in the Nineties. Bulgarian music is serious, philosophical, touching upon the principles of human life in it’s essence, of laconic and aphoristic expression… Five pieces by Michail Goleminov are the treasure of the Cantus Firmus orchestra concert repertoire.

Concert in Municipal Theatre of Larnaka was under public's shooting "Bravo!" and enthusiastically applauses during all the concert. Audience consist mostly amateurs but few professionals who graduated Moscow State Conservatory in Russia, so after the concert they came to congratulate maestro and the orchestra
